Warwick Historical Society Presents: “In Conversation with Alan Held” – A Journey Through Warwick’s Railroading Past The Historical Society of the Town of Warwick invites the public to a fascinating afternoon of local history with Town of Warwick Deputy Historian Alan Held on Sunday, May 31st from 2:00–4:00 PM at the A.W. Buckbee Events Center. A part of our "In Conversation With" series, Alan's engaging presentation will explore the 28 miles of railroad lines that once connected Warwick’s villages and hamlets, shaping the region’s growth, commerce, and daily life. Through a richly illustrated talk featuring historic maps, rare photographs, and compelling then-and-now comparisons, attendees will gain a vivid understanding of the trains, stations, and stories that defined the community. From rail lines still in operation today to routes abandoned more than a century ago, this program offers a unique opportunity to rediscover the infrastructure that helped build Warwick. This event follows a previous standing-room-only program, and attendance is expected to be high. RSVP IS REQUIRED Guests must reserve in advance by contacting the WHS office at 845-986-3236 or by visiting the calendar page at whsny.org. Admission: Free for WHS Members in good standing $5 for Non-Members (cash at the door) For more information visit whsny.org.
