Michael J. LaViano, a first-generation master jeweler and Swiss-trained watchmaker, established a fledgling business in Westwood, N.J., in 1945. Since the store’s inception, MJ was dedicated to quality, providing his clients with the finest products available, regardless of price. Since 1945, the business has evolved into one of the most respected independent jewelry stores in the country and is still family-owned to this day.

LaViano Jewelers is an authorized representative for more than 20 timepiece brands, including some of the most highly regarded products available in the world today. LaViano Jewelers also represents many designer jewelry lines, but the mainstay of their business is the one-of-a-kind, custom-made pieces featuring gem-quality, G.I.A.-certified diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, and exotic stones such as Chrysoberyl cat’s eye.
