Warwick's first Founders' Day will be dedicated to all people who lived in the Warwick area during the Revolutionary War. The interactive living history event at 21 Hathorn Rd., the historic Gen. John Hathorn property. The day will feature the 5th New York Regiment and the 42nd Royal Highland Regiment, reenactment units that will demonstrate military life and have a “skirmish”. Culinary historian Lavada Nahon and Akgonkian cultural heritage educators Jennifer Lee and Dan Shears will also be on hand to share their expertise. The program is hosted by Arek Kwapinski and Sylwia Kubasiah, the property owners who are restoring this historic home as the Old Stone House Inn, and a collaboration of the Friends of Hathorn House, the Warwick Historical Society, the Albert Wisner Public Library, and is sponsored by the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area.
