Picnic in the Park

Following the George Washington Day 5K and Fun Run, the celebration continues with a Picnic in the Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Lewis Park. Bring your family and friends, pack a picnic basket, and enjoy an afternoon filled with outdoor fun, activities and pop up performances. This event is the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the beautiful summer day after the excitement of the morning race. The highlight of the Picnic in the Park will be the inaugural "I Cannot Tell a Lie - Best Cherry Pie in Warwick" baking contest. Bakers from around the community are invited to showcase their best cherry pie recipes and compete for the title of Best Cherry Pie in Warwick. This highly anticipated event will feature celebrity judges and fantastic prizes for the winners. Slices of the pies will be available for purchase after the judging, with all proceeds going to support the Warwick Historical Society.
